Our Shared Garden

Our Shared Garden is located on Trescony Ave off of Mission Street on the Westside of Santa Cruz Driving north on Mission Street, take a RIGHT onto Trescony Ave (Trescony is 2 blocks after Laurel Ave and 1 block before Bay St). Drive to the end of the street and the garden will be right in front of you.
Whether you are new to gardening or have experience, join us at Trescony Park Community Gardens for an afternoon of gardening in 7 raised garden beds (200+ sq ft). Enjoy afternoons in the fresh air sowing seeds, watering, weeding, pruning, harvesting and enjoying. This ongoing project is for all ages to enjoy. Wear comfortable clothes that you won’t mind getting dirty, and make sure to bring a sun hat.

Skim across a private lake on a hot summer day. Beginner and advanced skiers enjoy one-on-one instruction from experienced adaptive water- ski instructors and trained volunteers. Average participant time at the lake is 1-2 hours.

Niles Canyon Railway

Steam locomotives pulled trains through Niles Canyon for 80 years before diesels took over in the 1950s. Pacific Locomotive Association’s Niles Canyon Railway provides historic train rides to the public year-round from the 1880s depot in Sunol and from Nile Station in Fremont. Wheelchair access. Sunday Streets Hike

Sunday Streets is a city-wide event that takes place in different neighborhoods on Sundays throughout the Spring and Summer and shuts down city streets to traffic so that residents can take over for a day with all sorts of healthy and family friendly activities. The Adaptive Cycling Program is an integrated program serving children, youth, adults and families. Skim across a private lake on a hot summer day. Beginner and advanced skiers enjoy one-on-one instruction from experienced adaptive water- ski instructors and trained volunteers. Average participant time at the lake is 1-2 hours.
All Summer Programs are open to family and friends.
