Change Font Size

Recent versions of all popular browsers have the capability to zoom the page or change the size of the font. With most the process is as simple as pressing control (command for Mac users) and the plus or minus key. Pressing control and the zero key resets the page or font to the original size. Here are the instructions for specific browsers.

Chrome

Control (command for Mac users) and the plus or minus key zooms the page. Control and the zero key resets to the default size.

Firefox

Control (command for Mac users) and the plus or minus key. Control and the zero key resets to the default size.

You can choose between increasing/decreasing the font size or zooming the page.
Open View > Zoom > Zoom Text Only
Keyboard Command:
alt+v z
t to toggle Zoom Text Only

Internet Explorer

Control (command for Mac users) and the plus or minus key zooms the page. Control and the zero key resets to the default size.

You can set the browser to keep your zoom setting for all new windows and tabs.

Open Tools > Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab.
Uncheck the option "Reset zoom level to 100% for new windows and tabs".

Keyboard Command:
alt t o
Click the advanced tab
Arrow down to the option
Use the spacebar to toggle the checkmark

Opera

Use the plus and minus keys on the number pad to zoom the page. The * key resets to normal.

You can set the default zoom levels by opening
Tools (Opera on Mac) > Preferences > Web pages.

Keyboard Command:
Control+f12
Click the Web Pages tab
Tab to the Page Zoom field
Use your arrow keys to select the default zoom level

Click the Page Menu Icon > Zoom > Zoom Text Only
