Weather

"The coldest winter I ever spent was one summer in San Francisco", is a quote often attributed to Mark Twain. Truth is, nobody knows who really said it. Regardless of its origins, do take the advice seriously. Summers in San Francisco are unpredictable and often cool and foggy. The best weather months are April, May, and September through November. The rainy season is December through March. The best clothes to pack are things that can be layered. One part of the city can be basking in the sun while another part is covered in fog.

Accessible Pay Toilets

There are 25 wheelchair accessible pay toilets located throughout San Francisco. Cost is 25 cents. Free tokens are available from most non-profits or by calling JC Decaux at (415) 487-2300.
