Trails and Pathways

Trail:
Litton Trail
Trailhead Location:
Hughes Rd., Sierra College Dr.
Trail Length:
2-4 total miles
Typical Width:
4 ft. & above
Typical Grade:
Mostly gentle
Typical Terrain:
Moderately Firm
Trail Overview:

This well-established trail meanders through an informal urban greenbelt in Grass Valley. The greenbelt is a blend of small forested sections, a country club, irrigation canal, community college, high school, and a retirement community. This trail connects local residents to businesses, places of work and education. Additionally, multiple social trails intersect and connect to the Litton Trail.

Accessibility Notes: The west side of the trail (.6 miles) is fully paved. The longer side is a mix of hard packed dirt and medium sized gravel. I handled it in a power chair but it would be tough in a manual chair. There was one root that blocked a portion of the trail but I found it manageable.
