Trail Overview: This scenic 1.5 mile loop trail is only accessible at the paved section for the first .5 mile. Once you reach the closed gate to the lighthouse the trail becomes gravel and single-track. To start, the trail climbs very steeply (14% grade) for .2 mile to a spectacular viewpoint of the beach below and Patricks Point to the north. You continue to climb steadily (no more than an 8% grade) for another .1 mile before the tree lined trail levels out and the views to the east of the quaint harbor and pier grab your attention.
More Info: The steep incline looks intimidating but my rear-wheeled power chair had no difficulty with the 14% grade. The stunning views were worth the effort but maybe not so much on a foggy day.
